Around 40 new cases of testicular cancer are diagnosed in Lithuania every year. The earlier the disease is diagnosed, the higher the chance of successful treatment and the quicker and simpler the treatment.
Diagnosis is not a verdict, but a challenge, a path to overcoming the disease that requires effort on the part of the doctor, the patient and the patient's immediate surroundings.
On May 30–31, 2025, the jubilee 10th Baltic25 meeting of urologists from the Baltic States took place in Vilnius. Organized in cooperation with the European Association of Urology (EAU), the event brought together specialists from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and other countries to discuss the most relevant topics in urological science and practice.
Marking World Intellectual Property Day, the State Patent Bureau held the event "Creativity in the Digital World: In the Rhythm of Intellectual Property” and announced the winners of "Registered Trademark of the Year 2024."
“There’s far too little talk about men’s health issues — for most, it’s still a taboo. We’re all rushing through life, no time, there’s shame, discomfort, awkwardness… so we delay until the very last moment. I’m no exception. I was supposed to have regular check-ups, but for ten years, I couldn’t find the time to visit a urologist,” shares Gediminas Jakubonis candidly, openly, and in detail as he tells his story following a testicular cancer diagnosis.
